Wonderful location, right in the centre of town. Staff were so friendly. We left a couple of important items in our room after checking out and the staff went out of their way to help us. During our stay, they were so friendly and helpful, it really made a difference. Compared to our stay at another hotel in the same city, we would choose the Historic Anchorage again as it is personal service with an old world charm. The other hotel was more expensive/higher star rating but very impersonal. Our room was huge and spacious and very clean. Thank you!

The Historic Anchorage Hotel was part of our adventure to explore our 49th state, Alaska. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Anchorage and everything is within easy walking distance (including the train station). The breakfast was wonderful, the staff VERY accommodating! On the day we were leaving, we had to be up and out at 5am. The staff had positioned a luggage cart just outside our door. We've never had a hotel do that for us before.

The location was perfect for our trip - walking distance from and to the Railroad depot. I loved the historic nature of the building. We did not have any ghostly experiences but I was hopeful!! We stayed in room 215. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was satisfying. The front desk person showed me the panoramic photo of Anchorage and the binder of guest accounts which was fun to read!

This is a fascinating building with a rich history. When there was an issue with the bathroom in our first room we were quickly offered an alternative. Staff were helpful. Great location.

This was a cool historic hotel in a great location right downtown. The staff was super helpful. Our room was very large and luxurious.

The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was included and the staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel was perfect, since we did not have any car and a lot of places including the train station was walking distance.

Very centrally located. Next to the Hilton. We were coming back from Denali on the train at night, then leaving on train for cruise next day. Walk from station is 7 mins (uphill), to station is 4 mins (downhill). Lovely kind helpful staff.

Super convenient to walk downtown, love the history and the front desk was awesome. The hotel is haunted and the staff showed videos . Breakfast was good- omelets pancakes cereal yogurt fruits

We only stayed overnight, having arrived on the train from Fairbanks in the evening, and caught the train to Whittier the following morning. It was not fair from the railway station (but up a steep hill). Breakfast was satisfactory but not exceptional. The surroundings were as expected, quaint!
